Why evidence is fetched twice

The treaty that lapsed while the guides kept citing it.

Germany and the United Arab Emirates signed a double tax agreement in 2010. It lapsed on 31 December 2021 and was never renewed. Guides and chat answers still in circulation cite it as current. TaxoTax treats research citations as leads, then fetches the selected URL again during verification before a claim can enter the report.

How it works

From open question to reviewable report.

Each stage creates a document your advisor can inspect, challenge and use.

  1. 01

    Describe the move

Share the jurisdictions, family situation, assets and decisions that matter.

  2. 02

    Research current law

Relevant statutes, treaties and authority guidance are gathered with dated passages.

  3. 03

    Verify the evidence

Selected URLs are fetched again; partial support and changed figures are blocked from publication.

  4. 04

    Review with your advisor

Use the roadmap and checklist to focus paid professional time on judgement.

FAQ

Clear answers, before you begin.

For legal conclusions on your specific case, bring the finished report to a qualified advisor in each relevant jurisdiction.

Is this tax advice?

A report is orientation material, prepared for review with a qualified tax advisor or lawyer. It files nothing and replaces no professional judgement — it arrives structured so your advisor works from sourced figures instead of starting at zero.

What does a report contain?

A plain-language summary first, then the working sections: tax deltas, exit-tax exposure, treaty provisions, asset questions, a sequenced roadmap and a list of every figure that failed verification. The whole report is written in the language of your description; quoted source passages stay in their original language as evidence. A living-there section covers housing, schooling, healthcare and everyday infrastructure for your destination. You receive the report in your language and in English, with a PDF attached to the delivery email.

How long does research take?

Reports are ready within 15 minutes: a Quick validation typically takes 5–8 minutes, a Deep-dive 8–12 and a Discovery 10–14. You watch live progress on your report page while sources are collected and every figure is checked.

How are figures supported?

Research first records a source lead. Verification then fetches that URL again without a cached copy, requires one exact passage to support the complete claim, and checks that every numeric token remains unchanged. Unsupported and partial claims are excluded and listed.

Do I need an account?

No account is required. The free instant check runs immediately in your browser, and a finished report stays available through its private random link for 12 months.
